Baukobox – new specialist database for architects and civil engineers

baukobox supports architects and architecture students in understanding building construction details and finding suitable building products. The platform serves as a digital research tool and enables a holistic view of building construction elements.

The focus is on real building projects, which are used to clearly illustrate building elements such as roof structures, exterior walls, foundations, windows, and doors.

Use and registration

To use the platform, you must register once with a THWS university address. Please follow these steps:

  1. Click on Login in the top right-hand corner.
  2. Switch to Register.
  3. Select Student as your user type.
  4. Enter your university address (@study.thws.de or @thws.de).
  5. Assign a password.
  6. Click on Just register now.

Subscriptions and payments do not need to be selected, as THWS-Library pays the license fees.

Changes to access Statista

The Statista database has changed its access terms and is no longer available via external access., but via a Shibboleth login. You will find the Institution Login at the bottom of the page under the login options. In this field, select “Technische Hochschule Würzburg-Schweinfurt” and click on “Check access.” Then enter your usual THWS ID (k-number) and the corresponding password.
