Citation styles

Citation styles at THWS

At THWS, there is no centrally prescribed citation style. In reference management programmes, however, you can choose and set an appropriate style.
As there are different ways of citing literature, the Library would like to recommend the following:

• For references in footnotes: Chicago Manual of Style
• For references in the text (Harvard): Deutsche Gesellschaft für Psychologie (DGP)
• For shortened references in the text (AutJJ): LNI, Zitatseiten
• For numbered references: IEEE Editorial

Additional literature

On the shelves AK 39540 and AK 30580 at both library locations, you find guidebooks about citation styles and scientific writing. There is also a comprehensive citation guide in German by TU München (PDF) available for download.
