Publication Server OPUS
To THWS members, the THWS Library provides the possibility to electronically publish scientific texts via the online publication system OPUS; as a precondition, copyright or licensing regulations must not be violated.
Among final theses, also essays, research papers or THWS publications can be published there.
By publishing on OPUS, texts are available worldwide; additionally, long-term citability is ensured by a stable and permanent link to the text.
In OPUS, your papers can be searched by various search access points. Associated metadata are collected by databases of current search machines like Google Scholar or BASE (Bielefeld Academic Search Engine). All papers can of course also be found in the FHWS OPAC as well as in the OPAC of the Bavarian library network (Gateway Bayern).
The THWS publication servers follows the Open Access idea.
If you want to publish a full text document or bibliographical data, please note the following:
- For final theses, a permission to publish final theses as a full text version on the publication server of THWS has to be granted; it must be signed by the author and the supervising professor.
- Personal data not intended for publication must be removed from files.
- Other full text documents can only be published, if the author holds all rights for documents’ online publication/storage. Particularly in cases where the paper has already been published by a publishing house, the author is obliged to clarify the legal situation and inform the Library accordingly.
- Publishing via OPUS is only possible from within the THWS network or if you are connected to it via external access to licensed library materials.
